Meet the Interior Designer Behind Nostalgic Home Interiors in Somers, CT

Hi there! I'm the owner of Nostalgic Home Interiors, your go-to for personalized interior design in Northern Connecticut, and its charming companion storefront, The Vintage Bee Collective. When I'm not immersed in creating beautiful spaces, I'm spending time with my husband and our sweet daughter, our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Lucy, and our lively flock of 21 chickens!

My love for collecting unique vintage items runs deep, as does my passion for interior design, which blossomed in high school. After earning my Bachelor's of Arts in Interior Design in 2009, I spent years gaining diverse experience across various facets of the field, from flooring and furniture to residential building and working with other design firms.

Life took an unexpected turn in 2020 when I lost my son, Zachary, at five months pregnant. In the wake of this profound loss, I found a new path forward. Instead of retreating, I channeled my energy into starting a furniture refinishing business. Its rapid growth allowed me to leave my job in 2022, and I haven't looked back since. This journey organically evolved from furniture refinishing to selling vintage items online, which ultimately led to the opening of my storefront. By early 2024, I phased out furniture refinishing to officially launch Nostalgic Home Interiors, offering full-service interior design. Today, The Vintage Bee Collective serves as both a curated shop for vintage furniture and decor and my dedicated design center.

When I'm not with my family or at a client's home, you'll often find me at the mill, surrounded by textile samples, playing with ideas in the bright natural light filtering through the large windows. I truly love helping clients in northern Connecticut and Western Massachusetts create comfortable, collected, and timeless homes!
